Welcome to Church Farm Surgery.
We hope you find this website both useful and informative. If you have any comments or suggestions about this site, or how it can be improved, please let us know.
Your Doctor needs YOU to remember FLU!
Although we have completed our scheduled clinics we are still doing Flu vaccinations. Please ring the surgery to organise your vaccination appointment. We have stock of the vaccines for those aged 65 and over & we have created a waiting list for those 64 and under who wish to have their jab (if we are able to source enough stock).
From 13.00 there are no clinicians within the surgery, reception staff will be happy to make or amend appointments, but the telephones will be diverted to the 111 service. Pre-ordered prescriptions can be collected during this time.
The next GP training afternoons are on Wednesday 13th February and Thursday 14th March 2019.
Christmas Bank Holiday Opening Hours 2018
The Practice will be shut for the 3 bank holidays days over the Christmas and New Year period. If you require assistance during those times, please call 111 or dial 999 for urgent & life threatening situations. Please plan ahead sensibly for prescriptions and only request the items which you actually require. A list of pharmacies nearby that have extended opening hours over the festive period is available HERE .
The GP Partners and all staff at Church Farm Surgery wish you a very Happy Christmas and a healthy 2019 to come.
*** FLU CLINIC UPDATES ***
Stock levels of the vaccines (for all eligible patients) are steady, so if you have not had your flu jab yet - do call the Reception team to get booked in!
If you have decided that you would not like to have the vaccination this year, we would be very appreciative if you could let us know.
11th October 2018
Yesterday's drop-in flu clinic saw a record number of patients attending which exceeded our expectations. As a result we now have a VERY LIMITED quantity of the flu vaccination for those aged 65 years and over. We are expecting our next delivery by the end of the month and the national supplier of these vaccines is unable to deliver any sooner. Unfortunately all other GP surgeries and pharmacies are facing similar supply issues and we can only apologise on behalf of the national supplier for the delay.
We still have a working stock of vaccinations for those aged 64 years and under who are in an at-risk health group.
As such, next week's drop-in clinic WILL still go ahead but please note that the session may need to end early pending stock availability.
Bookable appointments will be made available once the delivery of vaccinations arrives.
We thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Drop-in Flu Clinics
It's that time of year again! We are running 2 drop-in clinics again to get our campaign kick started this year:
Bookable appointments will be scheduled once these drop-in clinics are completed. This year's campaign is additionally complex owing to different vaccines being recommended for the various patient eligibility cohorts. Please bear with us as delivery of the vaccines this year is out of our control owing to having to order from multiple suppliers.
Children will be invited separately to dedicated clinics once their vaccine stocks arrive.
If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a free NHS flu jab, please contact the surgery.
